Dunedin Family and one last South Island sit - Feb 2021

We had a wonderful time with our family in Dunedin.  Especially meeting Clare's great-nephews, Ben and Jack, for the first time.

We had lots of family outings to the Botanical Gardens, Museum and last but by no means least, in Ben's estimation anyway, the farm where Aunty Amy works.

But most of all, it was just fun to spend time together with some of our favourite people.

James and Keith

All good times must come to an end and we were soon headed off to a one week sit in Blenheim before we were to catch the ferry for the North Island.  This was another of our favoured rural sits.  Just farm animals this time, no pets ..... which was a bit weird!

The sheep were hand-reared and quite friendly

Absolutely love a good goat cuddle

We made some wonderful fresh apple juice with
the windfall apples from the orchard

James got a nasty chest infection from Ben, who got it from daycare and passed it on to everyone except the two Clares.  After sleeping upright in a chair for four nights James mercifully got better in time to catch the ferry.  If there is one thing you can't do in public these post-covid days, it is cough!!!
